LocationThe 1st Asian conference on Liquid Crystals will be held at Fuji Calm, Fuji-Yoshida, Yamanashi, JAPAN. (You can obtain information of the city, Fuji-Yoshida from the website, and the information of the seminar house "Fuji Calm" by Rakuten in English) Fuji Calm is located 100 km west from Tokyo and at the foot of Mt. Fuji which is the highest mountain in Japan. The temperature of Fuji-Yoshida are about 5∼7C degrees cooler than Tokyo (min. 5C - max. 12.4C) on average in December. The weather around Fuji Calm is colder than average year. The best temperature was 6 degree celcius and the lowest temperature was -6 degree celcius at the last weekend. [2012/12/11]
(1) We will provide a chartered bus service from Haneda airport international terminal (1F, Group Bus zone) to the conference site (Fuji Calm) at 13:45 on December 16. It costs 2,400JPY and please make a payment on the registration desk by cash or via PayPal. Please get together in the front of Group Bus Signage at 2F access hall. The bus seats are full occupancy. Please refer the photo of meeting point for a chartered bus.
From Narita airport to Haneda, please take a limousine bus by yourself. The bus departs every 20 min. and it takes ~100 min. and costs 3,000JPY to Haneda airport (for Haneda airport international terminal, the bus depart every one hour). Please refer the website. If you will take a bus on 11:05, you will arrive at Haneda airport around 12:45.
(2) A charterd bus service will be provided from the conference site to Haneda ariport and Shinagawa Prince Hotel (Shinagawa station). The bus will depart at 15:30 on Decemnber 18 and arrive around 18:00 to Haneda ariport or Sinagawa Prince Hotel. It costs 2,400JPY, please make a payment on the registration desk by cach.

From Narita & Haneda airport to Fujicalm (the conference site) on December 16, 2012From Haneda airport, the organizer will provide a chartered bus service from Haneda airport international terminal (1F, Bus zone; departure at 13:45) to the conference site (Fuji Calm, arrival around 16:00). It costs 2,400JPY*. There is also a public highway bus service from Haneda airport on the same time (operated by Fujikyu Bus) to Fujikyu-Highland bus stop and change the hotel bus to the conference site. If you need an assistance to book, please contact the conference secretariat.
From Narita airport, take a limousine bus to Haneda airport international terminal by yourself. It takes ~100 min. and costs 3,000JPY.

From Tokyo to Fujikyu-Highland or Fujisan stationThe highway bus is available from Shinjuku to Fujikyu-Highland. Please refer the website by Fujikyu bus.
From JR Shinjuku station, take JR Chuo line Express "Azusa or Super Azusa or Kaiji" to "Otsuki" station. At Otsuki station, transfer to Fuji-Kyuko line bound for Kawaguchiko, and get off at "Fujisan" station (The former name was Fuji-Yoshida station).
From Fujikyu-Highland or Fujisan station to Fuji Calm (the conference site)From Fuji-kyu highland or Fujisan station, it takes about 10 minutes by taxi to get to Fuji Calm (the former name was "Jinzai Center"). It costs about 1,500 Yen. A free shuttle bus service will be available from the stations ("Fujikyu Fujisan station" and "Fujikyu Highland") to the conference site and the timetable will be announced this site.

From Fujicalm to Haneda airport & Shinagawa on December 18, 2012To Haneda airport and Shinagawa prince hotel, the organizer will arrange the charterd bus from the conference site (departs 15:30; costs 2,400JPY*). It will be arrived to Haneda airport international termial at 18:00, Haneda airport terminal 2 at 18:15, Haneda airport terminal 1 at 18:25, and Shinagawa Prince Hotel at 18:00. You can take a limousine bus from Haneda to Narita airport. It takes ~100 min. and costs 3,000JPY.
*The booking is needed for the chartered bus, we will accept the reservation for the participants from both of oversea and domestic.
From Fujicalm to Fujikyu-Highland or Fujisan stationTo Fuji-kyu highland and/or Fujisan station, it takes about 10 minutes by taxi to get from Fuji Calm (the conference site).
A free shuttle bus service will be available from Fujicalm to the stations ("Fujikyu Fujisan station" and "Fujikyu-Highland") after closing the conderence on December 18. The timetable will be announced this site.
From Fujikyu-Highland or Fujisan station to TokyoThe highway bus is available from Fujikyu-Highland to Shinjuku station. Please refer the website by Fujikyu bus.
From Fujikyu Fujisan station, take Fuji-Kyuko line bound for "Otsuki". At Otsuki station, transfer to JR Chuo line Express "Azusa or Super Azusa or Kaiji" to "JR Shinjuku" station. At JR Shinjuku station, you can take local train to Tokyo or Narita Express train to Narita airport.
For Japanese participants, please also refer the Fuji Calm webpage for the access information. You can take a highway bus from Shinjuku or Tokyo or Yokohama or Haneda to Fujikyu highland or Fujisan station and get a taxi to the site.
